TRANS-ACT: Translating Antarctic tourism research into policy options

The TRANS-ACT project aims to provide a bridge between the scientific output of currently running Netherlands-funded Antarctic tourism research projects and policy-making processes in the ATCM (WG3: comprehensive framework for regulating Antarctic tourism) and other policy fora in order to deliver science-based contributions to the decision-making process. We will build this bridge by: 1) establishing a platform for communication to align expectations between actors in the science and the policy domain; 2) synthesising policy-relevant research outcomes from the Antarctic tourism research projects; and 3) translating these synthesised research results into policy options and legal tools.
