The goal of this network project is to contribute to the realisation of impact with ELSA labs by building the foundation for the ELSA lab blueprint and network, with the overall aim to contribute with the ELSA labs to the realisation of human-centred AI for an inclusive society. The network project will be a living partnership in knowledge production methodologies and follow the social lab approach in which knowledge production and dissemination will be facilitated and the lessons learned from the construction and first developments of the ELSA labs will be investigated. The lessons learned will be translated into an ELSA lab blueprint , consisting of a set of guiding principles regarding the following themes: ELSA lab collaboration, ELSA lab methods, ELSA lab impact and ELSA lab sustainability. Knowledge production and dissemination will be facilitated by an ELSA lab learning network, for which this network project will lay the foundation. To foster knowledge transfer and learning among ELSA labs , different activities will be organised such as an ELSA Academy and ELSA community building sessions. ELSA conferences will be organised to showcase and further develop the ELSA lab concept, its methodologies and outcomes and ELSA knowledge dissemination sessions will be organised to engage with the general public. In the development of the network project and building of the ELSA lab ecosystem all NLAIC ELSA labs will be actively involved as well as other NLAIC groups and activities, such as the NLAIC ELSA board, PACE, legalAIR, and the AI parade.
