The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) serve as a universal call to action aiming to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity and peace for all. However, low and middle-income countries (LMICs) encounter distinct challenges in achieving these goals. Effective interventions and policies need evidence informed implementation and timely evaluations. We urgently need credible evidence and toolkits to visualize what works in a particular setting, leading to more effective implementation and cost-effective development interventions. This project proposes an Evidence and Gap Map (EGM) as a comprehensive overview of existing knowledge and evidence on impact evaluations measuring outcomes related to the five pillars of SDGs. We will gather evidence from evaluations measuring the impact of interventions on the outcomes related to the SDGs in LMICs. The evidence will be systematically mapped by intervention type, and the specific country or region of implementation. We will also toggle by funding organizations to visualize the impact based on development aid. EGM is key to ensuring that the research resonates with changemakers. By actively fostering that dialogue, ensuring accessibility and applicability of research, and advocating for the power of evidence, the project strives to create lasting and impactful change in the long run.
